Lance Baird
Ringleader

Lance Baird is the founder and leader of RIVET. Over the course of his career, he’s traveled extensively throughout North America and overseas to share his sales and B2B marketing insights with a variety of manufacturing firms and professional organizations. Some of the more well-known brands with whom he’s had the pleasure of working include 3M, BASF, Brinks, Cooper Industries, DuPont, GE, Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark Professional, PPG, Saint-Gobain and Schneider Electric.

Lance is a graduate of Princeton University, where he played varsity football for the Tigers before graduating in 2003. He also holds an Executive MBA from The Pennsylvania State University and is regarded as a certified brand coach from the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, a center of excellence within his graduate alma mater.

When he’s not working, Lance is a high school football coach in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with his wife, Jamie, and his two amazing girls, Harper and Lila. He is a video game champion, craft beer aficionado and is told he sounds very similar to President Barack Obama when he finds his stride.

Rich Dettmer
Mastermind

Rich Dettmer is the co-founder and lead marketing strategist of RIVET. His marketing career started in the early ‘90s as the first technical employee at DDB Needham’s first digital marketing division, DDB Digital. From there, he worked his way to the position of CTO at Tribal DDB and later OgilvyOne/ OgilvyInteractive where he developed award-winning technology solutions for companies like Ameritrade, Arthur Andersen and Anheuser-Busch. In 2004, Rich moved to Slack and Company where he assumed the lead of their digital and B2B demand generation activities for Google, eBay, PayPal, GE and many others.

Rich is an Army veteran and a proud alumnus of the University of Missouri where he received his degree in marketing and philosophy.

Rich lives in Chicago, Illinois where he enjoys frequent “adventures” with his family to see the natural wonders of the wide world. In fact, he and his wife have a goal to visit and photograph all 61 of our incredible national parks.

Tina Allen
Magician

Tina Allen is RIVET’s one and only magician. When she’s not using her tenacity on a trade show floor or managing a client event, she injects her energy and creativity into project execution and account management.

Tina is a new transplant to Lancaster, Pennsylvania by way of Annapolis, Maryland where she grew up looking forward to the Blue Angels, Navy football games and attending school on the water. She began her career in finance over 15 years ago, but her passion for creating opportunity for youth and charity organizations led her to pivot into marketing, business development and fundraising for organizations such as Wellness House of Annapolis, Lighthouse Shelter, Habitat for Humanity and Anne Arundel Medical Center.

In her off hours, family is Tina’s “why.” She’s a proud former “Uber driver” and theater roadie for her incredible 17-year-old daughter, Kassidy, who has recently earned a license of her own. Tina also loves to sing and can often be found on the sidelines during football season.
